Coastal Flight offers Discovery Flights - a hands-on introductory experience designed to give you a real taste of what it’s like to pilot an aircraft. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore your passion for aviation before committing to a full training program.

Guided by a Certified Flight Instructor, you'll receive a briefing on fundamental flight principles before taking the controls yourself and flying over stunning local scenery.

Biennial Flight Review (BFR) /

Expired BFR or IPC?

At Coastal Flight, we aid in helping pilots stay safe, confident, and compliant with FAA regulations. Whether you’re due for your BFR or an IPC, our experienced Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) are here to guide you through the process.

Biennial Flight Review (14 CFR §61.56)

• Complete a flight review every twenty-four (24) calendar months.

  • Must include one (1) hour of flight training and one (1) hour of ground instruction, covering maneuvers, procedures and FAA regulations to ensure proficiency and knowledge.

Instrument Proficiency Check (14 CFR §61.57(c))

• Requires recent instrument experience or a proficiency check within the preceding six (6) months which assess your ability to safely operate under IFR, including tasks like approaches, holds and IFR communications.

Our CFIs will tailor each review and check to your experience, flying habits, and specific areas for improvement. Utilizing our fleet of Technologically Advanced Aircraft, flexible scheduling and comprehensive training that goes beyond minimum FAA standards to sharpen your skills and safely return to the skies.
